Muhammad Ihsan- Ul- Kabir has nearly 4 years of work experience in health economics research. His areas of specialization are health economics and health care evaluation. From 2018 to 2021 till date, he is working as a Research Associate in several public health projects of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and in other renowned organization such as; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; ThinkWell LLC Bangladesh; GIZ; The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA); Pathfinder International; and Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC), Bangladesh.

He has completed his graduation and post-graduation in Health Economics from the Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka. In the years of 2016 and 2017, he was acknowledged with a “Director’s Award” for excellent performance in Master of Social Sciences (M.S.S.) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (B.S.S.) by the Institute of Health Economics. His research interests include health economics, costing of healthcare programs, evaluation of healthcare programs, healthcare seeking behavior, feasibility study, gender-based violence, costed-implementation plan (CIP), equity in health, and health insurance.

His published articles are focused on health care financing methods and gender discrimination at workplace. Mr. Kabir has worked on several health and nutrition related projects, gender and inequality issues in health services utilization, feasibility studies and the analysis of health systems related barriers in Bangladesh. He was also involved in developing proposals of research projects focusing on major health issues and costing of healthcare services in Bangladesh. He has learned and applied both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, combining with regression and statistical analysis.
